Family Literacy Day!
JOIN US
at the Madison Central Library for an afternoon of family fun, including acclaimed Wisconsin storyteller Bob Kann performing “Read, Read, Read, It’s Magic!” a storytelling, magic, and juggling show for all ages!
This event also features:
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Family Game Center
  • Book Nook readings and activities
  • Family Reading Corner
…and a raffle with fantastic prizes, including Ian’s pizza certificates, educational toys, and water park passes!
GUESS WHAT? Admission to this fantastic family event,and entry into our raffle, is as simple as bringing one or more books to donate to a Wisconsin child in need. That’s all you have to do to have a day of fun and the chance to win one of our great raffle prizes!
When: Saturday, August 9, 2014,
9 AM to 1 PM
Where: Madison Central Library, 201 W. Mifflin St., downstairs Children’s area
Schedule:
9 AM – 11:00 AM: Choose from our circle stations; Book Nooks, family games, arts and crafts, family reading
11 AM – 11:30 AM: Performance by Bob Kann
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Choose from our circle stations; Book Nooks, family games, arts and crafts, family reading
12:30 PM -1:00 PM: Raffle prizes and final book count
Admission: Bring a book(s) to donate to a child in need who is 0-12 years old.
Why attend?
Besides being TONS of fun, and promoting early literacy, this event supports SFTA’s Once Upon a Book Drive, which is collecting quality, new/gently used books for children in early education programs and families in need across Wisconsin.
